Kids Kamp July 2008
Kids Kamp is for children 12 years old or older. Registration covers class instruction, all materials, and a lite snack if time allows. We ask that campers bring their own drink in securely covered containers along with their positive attitudes and perfect behavior. Call the store to register. Classes will be open to adult registration if they do not fill!
This year Carol Orme is teaching 3 projects for the Fabric Chest’s Kids Camp. These projects are:
HANDY BAGS
This is 3 sessions July 14-16, 2008 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
The cost is $90.00. Pattern and fabric are included in the class fee. Come to the Fabric Chest to sign up and pick out your fabric for your bag.
Come join us to have a fun filled three days to make this Handy Bag. We will use a unique folding technique resulting in three full length compartments with two flaps and a Velcro closure in the center compartment. There are two smaller secret pockets.
PILLOW CASE
This is only Wednesday, July 23, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
The cost is $45.00. Pick up supply list when you register.
Make a special pillow case just for you or they make great gifts! This is a fun and easy class to help you with your sewing skills and go home with a finished project you can sleep on! This is not only straight sewing but you will be able to try out the embroidery machine. Make it personal by embroidering your name on your pillow case.
QUILLOW
This is 4 sessions July 28-31, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
The fee is $125.00 and includes all the supplies you need. Choose your fabric colors when you register.
This is a lap quilt that can easily be folded into a pillow. Stop by Fabric Chest to see the Quillow that Miss Carol made as the class sample. You will learn to cut fabric into strips to make quilt blocks and then sew the blocks together to make a lap quilt. But you do not stop there!
How do you make a quilt into a pillow?? Take a look at the sample and you will see the magic!
